Rugged Mustangs, Refined Dressage in Equine Center Demos

The rugged horses of the American West and the refinement of dressage riding will be featured in the Equine Center Round Pen showcase at the August 8-10, 2017 Empire Farm Days at Rodman Lott and Son Farms in Seneca Falls, NY.
The live horse Round Pen demonstrations take place daily at 11 am and 2 pm at the event that is the largest outdoor agricultural trade show in the northeastern U.S.
America’s Mustangs: From Wild to Mild will be featured on Tuesday, August 9 and Wednesday, August 10 with celebrated horse trainers Jack and Emma Minteer of Rose Hill Ranch, Naples, NY. Visitors will see how once-wild horses can be rescued and trained in just 100 days to become trusted equine partners.
The Minteers use natural horsemanship training and performance techniques to achieve winning results. Jack, a 30-plus-year bull rider, now competes in Reined Cow Horse events and Extreme Mustang Makeover. Emma and her Mustang Ginger Snap won the 2017 Extreme Mustang Makeover Challenge competition in Massachusetts in June.
The refined equestrian sport of dressage is the featured program at the 2017 Empire Farm Days Equine Center on Thursday, August 10. Lucretia Galbraith, raised in a family of Standardbred racing royalty and a lifelong horsewoman, will demonstrate the skills that make her a five-time Western NY Dressage Association Professional Rider of the Year and a United States Dressage Association Bronze Medalist.
Lucretia has successfully trained horses for competition in Pony Club, U.S. Eventing Association, and dressage events. She and accomplished reiner and trainer Shane Ogden run Phoenix Performance Horses, Macedon, NY. They work with rescue horses to place them in forever homes and offer boarding, horse and rider training in equine disciplines from Western riding and reining to horse yoga and dressage.
