Farmers looking to save time can register to use the computerized Conservation Client Gateway of the USDA at the August 8-10, 2017 Empire Farm Days, 2973 State Route 414, in Seneca Falls, NY.

USDA NRCS personnel will be available at the Empire Farm Days Soil Health Seminar Center all day and with offer a daily 15-minute PowerPoint presentation on the Conservation Client Gateway at the Center at 1:30 pm. USDA NRCS soil scientists will also be providing information on the Web Soil Survey and the cell phone Soil Web App.

Landowners that register to use the Conservation Client Gateway can request conservation technical assistance, apply for financial assistance, report completed practices, and request and track payments through the electronic system. One-on-one consultations will occur throughout the show at the NY-NRCS exhibit at the USDA exhibit booth.

USDA NRCS personnel are part of the New York State Soil Health Workgroup hosting a full slate of Empire Farm Days Soil Health Seminar Center programming, tabletop demonstrations, and crop plot tours.

Empire Farm Days features more than 600 agricultural institutions, organizations and industry representatives with exhibits, information, field and live animal demonstrations, educational seminars, and farm safety and rural life displays.
